OUR STORY
RESOL Barbershop Is a local Barbershop that brings the modern style of grooming to our local So-Cal community.
RESOL was created to give young creative minorities the opportunity to express themselves freely through hair. We all come from different backgrounds and different ethnicities to be able to provide a welcoming experience to all those who walk through our doors, and it's always a good time — from the great conversation, to the unique story's we share.
At RESOL, our mission is to provide a premium experience through great service, great haircuts and positive vibes.

Hey, I’m Brian aka “Valente”. I am 22 years old, born in the city of Long Beach. The way I got into this barbering career was when I was a Junior in high school and I wasn’t trying to attend college. I was a month away from finishing up my Junior year when I realized I had to think of something quick because I was about to be a Senior next year. So one day I was scrolling through Instagram and saw a video of a famous barber cutting hair. In that video, I noticed a lot of things that come with barbering and seeing his accomplishments. It just really made me really interested into the craft. So a week later, I started telling my friends I was going to start cutting hair and they didn’t believe me. I began to sell chips at school to start collecting money to buy my own clippers & eventually I had enough to buy my first two pairs of clippers to start learning how to cut hair. Then I began practicing on friends and family and the rest is history.

I picked up barbering as a hobby and began to really enjoy the craft. What initially sparked my interest in barbering was seeing how a person is completely transformed with the simple act of getting a haircut. The hairstyles, conversations and relationships you build with people are second to none.

I started cutting hair in the garage as a hobby and side hustle, and one thing led to another. Cutting hair was a way to communicate with others and a way to express how one felt.
MEET THE OWNER
JAY FRANCO
I always knew I wanted to become a barber. Born in Raised in Lennox, California, I found interest in cutting hair very early on in life. My mom was a hairdresser and I spent a lot of time with her, watching her cutting hair. I was motivated by the tips I would see in my her smock and as a kid, seeing a bunch of dollars in there peaked my interest in cutting hair myself.
What’s driven me to continue barbering throughout the years is the ability to express myself freely and create my own identity, as well as the opportunity to connect with different people from all over the world. Everyone has a story to tell. I guess you can say I'm one who likes to hear them.
What inspires me to continue to groom for a living is seeing my team members grow and clients walk through our doors. The way people walk in that can be having the worst day, and their whole demeanor changes when they walk out. Making a difference is what inspires me.
